'Minute to Win It' Penny Hose Game

This could be the simplest game that Minute to Win It ever offered. It's ridiculously easy to set up, the rules are simple, and it's definitely within reason to accomplish the task within the time limit. Still, you're in for a bit of a challenge here. n

The Goal

The goal of Penny Hose is to fish two pennies out of a pair of pantyhose--one from the bottom of each leg. The pantyhose are not being worn by anyone--sorry this is a family game! The catch here is that you can only use your hands, and one hand must be working each hose leg simultaneously.

Equipment Needed

I'm sure you've already figured out the supplies you need to play the game, but here's what you'll need, just in case:

• One pair of pantyhose. They can be new or used as long as they're clean, and you may want to have a few extra pairs on hand if several people will be playing. There's a good chance someone's hand will end up going right through a few pairs.
• Pennies; at least two.
• A one-minute timer or stopwatch.

Setting Up the Game to Play

Hold up the pair of pantyhose and give it a quick check for holes. Even new ones have holes or runs in them sometimes, so a fast quality check is always a good idea. Place one penny in each leg of the hose and give them a little shake to make sure that the pennies land in the toe sections. Place the prepared prop on the floor or a table in the play area and you're ready to play Penny Hose.

How to Play

The player stands near the table or the spot on the floor where the pennied pantyhose are waiting for him or her. When the one-minute timer begins, the player can then pick up the pair of hose and start rooting for the pennies.

The most important thing to remember is that only one hand can touch each leg of the pantyhose. So one hand/arm will be working down one leg of the hose, while the other hand/arm will be working the other. You cannot grab a leg with one hand and use the other hand to wiggle down for the penny. Both hands must be working both pantyhose legs at the same time without working together, and once you've got the pennies you then have to do the same in reverse to get them out.

Get both pennies and pull them both out of the pantyhose in one minute or less in order to win the game.

The Rules

The rules for Penny Hose are pretty easy:

• No part of your hand or arm that is covered in pantyhose may touch any other part of your body.
• If you drop a penny and it hits the floor, you're done and the game is lost.

Tips and Tricks

There aren't a whole lot of tips to dispense for a goofy game like this one. It's meant to be fun and bring the laughs, but if you want to get uber-competitive, just wiggle your hands as much and as fast as possible to get them through the hose legs quickly. And for goodness' sake, don't let go of those pennies on the way out.
