Trivial Pursuit: America Plays is a nationally syndicated game show hosted by Christopher Knight. The game is based on the Hasbro board game Trivial Pursuit, and features an interactive element where audience members in studio and at home can win money as the game progresses.
If you'd like to be a contestant on Trivial Pursuit: America Plays, here's how to get the ball rolling.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered as a contestant, you must:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Be a legal resident of the United States or the District of Columbia
- Not have been on any other game show in the past six months
- Live in or around the Los Angeles area, or be willing to travel there at your own expense
- Not be an employee, immediate family member, or living in the same residence as an employee of Hasbro, Debmar-Mercury, or any of the production staff
Apply Online
To apply to be on the show, head over to tpamericaplays.com and fill out the very brief form they have there. This is just the first step in the process, however. You'll be contacted by a production staff member, and if you're considered for the show, invited in to the studio to take a written trivia test. If you pass the test, the next step is an interview with the producer, who will decide whether or not you will appear on camera as a contestant.
Apply by Phone
To apply to be a contestant by phone, call the Trivial Pursuit: America Plays hotline at 323-762-7359 and leave a message that includes your name, age, city, and the phone number where they will be most likely to reach you. Again though, you will have to go to the studio to take a written trivia test, followed by an interview with the show's producer.
