Got a couple of things to mention this morning, so let's get on 'em!First, Wheel of Fortune has a new logo for season 28, which you can see at the right of this post. Click on it for a more detailed view if you'd like. It's a little different than what we're used to seeing, but I really like it. We'll have an update on the new season next week.
Second, our friend Alex Davis over at BuzzerBlog is reporting that Pyramid isn't quite dead yet. Though no details on where this might end up are available, the rumors and guesses are already starting (of course). I have my own suspicions, but we'll just have to wait and see.
Finally, I got a couple of e-mails from people asking why I haven't mentioned the Price is Right game on Facebook. It wasn't an intentional slight, I just don't enjoy it very much and find it glitchy. There have been many times the game has frozen up while I was playing, and most of the time you're not playing against real people anyway. If you want to check it out though, you can find the application right here.

Not GSN. PLEASE not GSN! They can’t afford to do Pyramid justice by themselves. It’d need at least a syndication deal like 5th Grader has.
I would have to say the syndication train for this season has left the station…but really could be just about anywhere.
Here’s hoping they ditch the celebrities and film in NYC!!!!!
Honestly, the thing that worries me about a niche channel or syndication is the calibre of celebrity we’d be seeing.
On one hand, if it went to GSN they could likely bring in some “classic” and well-known game show hosts/personalities to play, and that would be fun. On the other, would that bring in fresh eyes for them? Probably not. And if that didn’t work, it’d be Bob Guiney and Sherri Sheppard, etc.
In syndication, we’d be seeing soap actors and reality show contestants no one’s ever heard of.
Trying to keep an open mind though!
Yeah, since for Million Dollar Password, a big-money prime-time game show, CBS did manage to get the coup of the century in scoring “Stewardess #3″ from The Wedding Singer…
I don’t think it matters where it goes, with the only qualification to become a celebrity these days is “mammal” (thank you Seth Meyers), we will see all the D, E and F listers.
Carrie,
On the Price game, I’m seeing a lot fewer bots. And some people are actually using the chat. The only thing is, like the show used to be, you can memorize prices and stuff and pull a terrykniess. I’ve seen that done on the FB game.
