'Trivial Pursuit: America Plays'

By Carrie Grosvenor, About.com

Trivial Pursuit: America Plays is unique because of the extent of the viewer participation. Anyone watching the show at home can submit questions to be aired on the show, and become part of America's Team. At the end of each episode, if America's Team has banked more money than the in-studio contestants, everyone who submitted a question that was used on that show wins some prize money.

The show itself is based on the Trivial Pursuit board game, using the same game pieces and the idea of collecting wedges to fill those game pieces. The set is also reminiscent of the game board.
