'Let's Make a Deal'

Wayne Brady breathes new life into a classic game show


Let's Make a Deal is a beloved classic that dates back to the 1960s. Back then, the show was hosted by Monty Hall, who was also one of the creators of the format. We've come a long way since then in the world of game shows, and this particular show has already suffered some failed revivals. CBS has once again attempted to being Let's Make a Deal back, as the newest addition to their daytime lineup. Hosted by Wayne Brady, the show represents a ray of hope for even more daytime game shows in the future. The new Let's Make a Deal premiered on October 5th 2009.

Every time a classic game show is remade, fans hold their collective breaths to see what changes have been made to the format. We've been pretty lucky with Let's Make a Deal, as the basics are all still in place. There are a few differences, however.

Let's Make a Deal is a fairly simple game to play. All that's required of you is the ability to make choices. The show tapes in Las Vegas, so if you're going to be in the area, why not attend a taping and try to win something?
