Nominees for Best Game Show Host must be currently hosting a game show. As long as the game is currently on the air with new episodes, even if the show is between seasons, the host can be nominated. From GSN originals to syndicated staples and prime time games, there are lots of talented hosts to choose from!
Best Game Show Announcer
Nominees for Best Game Show Announcer can include any announcer, living or dead, who has made at least part of his career as a regular announcer on a game show. With the recent shuffles in announcers on various game shows, this is the best way to make sure that everyone has a fair chance to be recognized for his talents.
Best Twitter Feed
If you're a member of the social networking site Twitter, you know that there are plenty of game shows and the people behind them actively using the service. Nominees in this category can be the official feed of a game show, personal accounts of hosts or other personnel, or even those created by fan sites or blogs. As long as they're active, they can be nominated here.
Best Official Game Show Blog or Website
"Official" blogs or websites are those affiliated with the game shows themselves. There are plenty out there to choose from, with many of them offering various interactive sections for viewers. Some of these are part of a larger website belonging to a network or cable channel, while others are independent.
Best Personal/Unofficial Game Show Blog or Website
For our purposes, a personal or "unofficial" blog or website is one that is run by someone who is not directly involved in the creation, production, or airing of any game show. It can be a newsy or opinionated blog with regular game show updates, or an active forum with lots of fans discussing the genre. It can also be a site that sells a game show related product, or the personal site of a game show personality.
Best Online Game Based on a Game Show
There are only two criteria that nominations in this category must meet: the game must be based on a past or current game show, and the game must be free for anyone to play. It's okay if registration or membership is required to play, as long as it's free. This can include Facebook games, games found on a larger gaming website, or standalone games that are based on a recognizable game show.
