Last year the Game Shows site joined the annual About.com Readers' Choice Awards for the first time, and the response was tremendous. It was so good, in fact, that we're doing it all again -- and this time there are even more categories! (You can check out the finalists and winners from last year's awards right here.)

Here's how it works. From now through February 15th we'll be collecting nominations in each of ten categories. The Game Show categories are:
  • Best Game Show
  • Best Classic Game Show
  • Best Game Show Host
  • Best Game Show Announcer
  • Favorite Game Show Contestant or Contestant Team
  • Best Game Show Twitter Feed
  • Best Facebook Game Show Game
  • Best Mobile Game Show Game
  • Best Official Game Show Website
  • Best Independent/Fan Game Show Blog or Website
You can find all of the details on each category, as well as links to each nomination form, on the Readers' Choice Awards Game Show main page. To nominate, simply click on the link for the category you want, sign in/register or log in via Facebook, and type in your choice in the space provided. After submitting you'll see a link to return to the Game Shows awards page, where you can choose another category for nominations if you wish.

Nominations will close on February 15th and they'll all be tallied. In each category, five finalists will be chosen based on the number of nominations they received. The finalists will be announced on February 22nd, and voting for the winners in each category will commence at that time.

If you have any questions or problems with the process, need more information, or want a copy of the graphic to use for promotion, leave a comment below or drop me an e-mail. Let's get those nominations coming in!
