Just got word from CBS that the other two people doing on-air auditions for The Price is Right's newly vacated announcer spot are Brad Sherwood and Jeff Davis (both from Whose Line Is It Anyway?). There was loads of speculation that the spot would be filled by a Whose Line alum, and it's looking likely that this will indeed happen.
JD Roberto (Shop 'Til You Drop) is currently filming two weeks' worth of shows. Reports from tapings have been slow to come in, but posters at Golden-Road have said that the models will be more involved with the show (and they even get microphones now).
I have to admit that I like Brad Sherwood, and if he's solid with the prize descriptions he might make a good addition to the show.

Bad mistake! If a Whose Line guy gets this gig, Drew will be accused of throwing Rich under the bus! True or not, it makes no difference. Perception is the new reality. I see what Richards is trying to do, and I like the Whose Line guys…but you do not want to fire Rich and hire one of Drew’s buddies. That’ll get him crucified. Why bring that kind of grief onto your host if you don’t have to?
Or am I reading too much into this?
No, I had the exact same thought Myke.
These two make a lot of sense considering their connection to Drew, just like Jonathan and Wayne work well on LMAD. But there’s definitely going to be backlash because of it.
I guess this answers the previous posts question “what will it take to replace Rich Fields”?
It will take being Drew’s friend from how many other shows now?
First CBS extreme nepotism and now for another round of Who’s a Friend of Drew Anyway?
Frankly, I find Drew nerve wracking. He speaks very rapidly and his style stinks, like asking wheel turners if they want to say hello to anyone and they do including the audience. I don’t care for him.
I hope that this not true, & that they will take their Time & hear from all who are qualified. Drew is already a Comic on the Show; they need a good Straight Man as the Professional Announcer.
