Don't forget to tune in to GSN tonight for a couple of premieres.First up is the season three starter of The Newlywed Game, which will air at 6pm Eastern. Carnie Wilson is back as our host, along with announcer Randy West. Sometime this season we'll also be treated to the return of original host Bob Eubanks, as he takes on three classic game show hosts and their wives as contestants.
At 6:30pm we'll get our first look at the new Jerry Springer dating show, Baggage. I'll admit that I'm really curious about this one. It has potential to be funny and entertaining, now that we know all of the contestants are indeed single and there's a real prize at the end.
Stop by and share what you think of Baggage after the premiere - I'm looking forward to your reactions!

Anyone going to admit they watched Baggage?
Here are my initial impressions.
Pros:
- Got a couple of giggles, mostly from Jerry Springer’s comments (”They used to call me The Pebble,” etc.)
- Liked the second blind elimination round
- The guy at the end complaining about being sent home was a riot
- The subject matter makes it a good match with Newlywed Game
Cons:
- It was, overall, fairly dull
- Definitely not a family show, so the time slot is odd
- The contestants looked like they had rehearsed every single moment, it didn’t come off as natural at all
I might tune in again to see if it gets any better, but it’s not something I’d make a point of watching. Not GSN’s worst effort of late. I don’t see it becoming a big hit, but I’ve been wrong about that kind of thing before.
Anyone else?
The Game Show Network is heading down a dark, aimless path. Their own produced programming clearly demonstrates the dumbing down factor that has polluted all modern programming. Now with the king of pig “talk” shows, Jerry Springer, to host a GSN original: Baggage. Who’s bright idea was it for this one? Another GSN failure to add to their ranks. Sadly I feel GSN is going to virtually eliminate all of it’s classics, the real game shows from the 50’s to the 80’s. That’s why GSN was born to deliver the goods of what most people wanted to watch being the classics. This isn’t the case anymore where only a handful of classics air on GSN nowadays. Well, now there’s YouTube to enjoy. GSN can go blow!
I would really REALLY LOVE to be a contestant on this new show called “Baggage”! I am a very attractive guy who seems to have trouble finding any ladies that could even possibly be my potential match! Please someone e-mail me and let me know how to become a contestant! I am desperate to get on there and meet someone who is really great! My e-mail is “clayn420@yahoo.com”! Thank you VERY VERY MUCH!
I am trying to get on there myself so if you do find out please email me and let me know
