First, look at how many nominees are from Million Dollar Password. Lots of other game shows had celebrity players - why no nominations from Celebrity Family Feud, or Don't Forget the Lyrics? William Shatner, well, he was funny even if he wasn't at all good at the game. We have to keep in mind that the category is "favorite," and not "best."
That leads me to the second curiosity here - were Serena Williams or Rachael Ray all that memorable? Did Larry the Cable Guy make for a better episode of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? than, say, Gene Simmons? I think not. Heck, even poor Kellie Pickler was more entertaining.
Regardless, these are our choices. And I have to say, hands down, my personal fave was Craig Ferguson on Million Dollar Password. That man owned the game, and I don't think we'll see a better player again.

Questionable nominee choices aside, I picked Betty White, I absolutely love her and it was cool to see that she still has password skills after all these years.
