Bob Barker's Return to The Price is Right

The event that many of you were waiting for finally happened yesterday - Bob Barker returned to the set of The Price is Right. He was there to promote his book, Priceless Memories, which he did through the presentations of both Showcases.

I've been reading the reactions to the show with interest, on other sites and through your comments via e-mail. Most of them seem to be positive for the entire show, which featured two cash games (Plinko and Punch-A-Bunch), and some really fun contestants. The funny thing, to me, anyway, is that a lot of people seem to feel that Barker showed up current host Drew Carey just by being on stage. I didn't get that impression at all - I thought the two of them complimented each other nicely. Their banter wasn't forced, and each seemed to have respect for the other.

Overall, Barker's appearance was a nice moment for the show. The audience reception was wonderful, and I think everything was handled professionally. It wasn't overdone or dripping with sentimentality, but they gave Barker enough time to connect with Drew and the audience, shill his book, and even deliver the parting line about spaying or neutering your pets. Everyone seemed to have a good time, and really, that's what game shows are all about.

If you missed the episode, CBS.com streams them directly from their site, or you can watch just the Barker clip on YouTube. For still photos from the show, we've got a photo gallery for you to enjoy.

What did you think of the show? Was it the highlight of the season, or just another episode that happened to include a nice little moment for Barker fans? Let me know what you think!

i watched it with my older in -laws who were very excited to see Bob back.Even though I do not care for Bob -I feel like he does make the show.I did get a little tired of him pushing his book ..but that is what he was there for.I thought he looked good-like he had gotten rest…his color looked better.I went to the show right before he quit and was shocked at how big his and rich field’s egos really are…
