Canceled Game Shows Poll #4

Wednesday December 3, 2008
Our fourth installment of the weekly Canceled Game Shows Poll includes a few heavy hitters. I think it's safe to assume that Pyramid will end up making the top three, but I'm interested to learn which of the others will score well with you. Win, Lose, or Draw and Press Your Luck were staples in my home, and the shows that I never missed when I was off sick from school. Then again, shows like Catch Phrase and Blankety Blanks, in the right hands, could really be fun for a new audience.

In last week's poll, it was a tight race for several days between Rock & Roll Jeopardy and Bumper Stumpers, which quite frankly surprised me. But over the weekend, Card Sharks jumped ahead of the competition and still remains in first place by a healthy margin.

So, which one of these retired game shows would you like to see back on the air? You can still vote in all previous polls, and with all of them, you're free to choose multiple selections. We're roughly working backwards, time wise, so if there are shows you feel that I've forgotten and should have included, or those you'd like to see in future polls, let me know in the comments section!

Here are the links to the three previous polls:

I think the problem with Blankety Blanks (in the poll, anyway) is that people in the US don’t know it by that name. Kinda like football and football. Said the same, spelled the same, but two completely different games.

The US version of Blankety Blanks is Match Game.

Hi Dave,

Actually, I was referring to the 1975 show (in the US) Blankety Blanks hosted by Bill Cullen. :-)

You’re right about the U.K. version though, but I think it was called Blankety Blank, without the ’s.’
