Million Dollar Password Season 2 Begins December 21st

Saturday November 15, 2008
I've been waiting for this news since the first season of Million Dollar Password ended, and of course the announcement comes when I go away for an overnight mini-vacation! Regardless, I'm very excited to share that the show's second season will begin on Sunday, December 21st.

The first episode with feature Aisha Tyler, who plays Mia on CSI, and the inimitable William Shatner, who of course is a Star Trek legend and currently stars on Boston Legal, among many other film and television credits.

The game itself will be the same, with one exception. In the bonus round the $250,000 level is now a safe zone, so if a contestant gets to that point he or she can go for the million without risk. On one hand, this takes away a little from the suspense of possibly winning $1,000,000, but on the other hand, it may give us more contestants actually attempting to get that far. During the first season, most contestants tended to play it safe.

Million Dollar Password will air Sunday nights at 8pm Eastern beginning December 21st, on CBS.

I’m really looking forward to this, I love this show. And Regis is awesome. I wish I could be a contestant on this one.

Awesome! I loved the first season of Million Dollar Password and was wondering when it would return. Besides, who calls 6 episodes a “season” anyway? But seriously, I’m glad it’s back. Regis is a miracle and I’m glad he’s hosting it and not some other boring person like Drew Carey. Will CTV be airing Season 2 alongside CBS, like they did in the first season?
