Let the Syndicated Game Shows Begin!

It's been a long summer of reruns for fans of syndicated and daytime game shows, but all that is about to change. Monday September 8th brings us a schedule full of brand new episodes of our favorites, as well as some newcomers.

Returning game shows include:

• Family Feud, celebrating its tenth season in syndication.
• Jeopardy!, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this season starting off with a Kids Week reunion special.
• Wheel of Fortune with a brand new $1,000,000 wedge on the big wheel.
• Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, which will have some new game elements as well as cosmetic changes.

There are also two new offerings premiering on September 8th:

• Deal or No Deal in syndication, which is 30 minutes long, with 2 models, 22 cases, and a $500,000 top prize, among other major differences from the prime time version.
• Inside the Box, which isn't exactly a new show per se, but it's new to many American markets. This is the Canadian game show replacing Crosswords, which has been put on hiatus.

It's hard to say which one of these shows I'm most looking forward to, since I've been waiting for this day to arrive for ages. Deal or No Deal is great in its daytime format, Jeopardy! is a long-time favorite that is going to have a brilliant season, and the changes in Millionaire have been highly anticipated.
