"Duel" Jackpot Surpasses $1,000,000

Thursday night's episode of Duel was impressive for two reasons. First and foremost, the running jackpot grew to over one million dollars. We know too that on Sunday night, one of the contestants will win over 1.5 million, so Friday night's show must add a considerable amount to that jackpot.

I also noticed last night that Mike Greenberg is getting much more comfortable in his role as host. The first couple of episodes, he seemed a bit stiff and unsure. But last night he was making more jokes with the contestants, hugging and hand-shaking, and he genuinely seemed to be having a good time.

Ratings-wise, the show isn't doing too badly. It's not winning any demos unfortunately, but it's consistently coming in second or third each night. Hopefully ABC will decide to run another "Duel" session in early 2008!
