An Interview With Robert C. Horowitz

The name Robert C. Horowitz might not ring a bell, but if you watch The Singing Bee you have him to thank for the concept. He's also the Co-Executive Producer of the show, a title he shares with Phil Gurin.

I had a chance to ask Mr. Horowitz a few questions about the show, what they look for in a contestant, how they choose the songs, and lots of other things. His answers were positive and candid, and I think you'll catch his enthusiasm for the show after reading the interview! I found it particularly interesting to learn how songs are selected, and what a task it is to clear the rights for all of these tunes.
